The Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota works to advocate for expanding brain injury services in South Dakota. Below are brain injury services currently available in South Dakota:
The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center at Black Hills Works – providing community re-entry services in Rapid City, including: counseling, cognitive training, speech therapy, community living training (including 24-hour care and ADL training), employment training and placement, and case management services.
Lifescape – providing residential services for brain injury survivors in Sioux Falls, including 24-hour care.
Sunrise Villa Avera – providing rehabilitative care for individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury. For eligibility and information, please contact the Nurse Consultant Program Manager, Department of Social Services at:
